Now you can’t load anything over a 1.5 star rating. These companies, especially groundspeak are getting out of control with greed, from once started as a nice free activity.

With Geosphere no longer supported on iOS 11, I took another look at caching apps. No app does all what Geosphere offered, but after trying them all I think the pro version of this app is the best. The lite version will get you started but to appreciate it you need the full version The interface takes a little getting used to, but it has a nice display that is focused on the maps. The color scheme is far better than some of its competitors. It does a lot and does it better than anything out there (excepting Geosphere).
My Facebook got hacked right after logging into this app through my geocaching account which is linked to my Facebook.
Best geocaching app
This app is really cool and easy
I'm test driving this on as it had a lite (free) version to tryout before purchasing it. With the new official geocaching app by GroundSpeak, I needed to find a app more like the original geocaching app which will be disabled very soon. So far I like what I see, short learning curve also. My only complaint is that I often go caching with non-premium members, my wife in particular. And although in the list view it clearly shows premium only caches, on the map view you can't tell the difference. It would be nice to set a filter to remove those when I'm in such a situation. Otherwise I like what I see and am using.
Please create a standalone app for the Apple Watch.
There were numerous geocaches around French Creek State Park, in Pennsylvania. However the app did not displayed any geocaches. Very disappointing.
I have a cache in a cemetery less than 500 feet to the east of my house... This app was trying to lead me north into the middle of a field of wheat. At one point it said I was 443 feet from the cache, then suddenly after taking only two steps, I was 697 feet from the cache. I would not recommend this app.
So far, so good. Only used this app a couple days now but I have not found any issues. This app gives you accurate information and is easy to use. I've also not experienced having to upgrade this app. 👍🏼
Seems to work well enough for searching for caches, but can't exit the web browser when viewing cache details, which renders the app pretty useless to me.
I would give this app a higher rating if the add bar wasnt in the way to use the navigation to from web pages for finds. When you open web page in the app for a cache you cant go back to the app without a force quit and reopen due to the advertisement bar in the way.
Thank you for developing this app. It is very intuitive, but can be data heavy at a moment's notice, which I greatly appreciate. I love the past few logs as smileys in the pop-up, along with the options to log or read details right below. Great for getting in and out of the app quickly, getting at-a-glance information and get back to the good stuff, THE OUTDOORS! I have only been tooling around for a day or so, and haven't found an option for map auto-orientation, but the plethora of other tools built in to this bad boy more than make up for it. Keep up the great work!
To pay this much for an app and then discover you need to keep paying to get more than three caches on a search, even when you don't like the search is hugely frustrating.
This is hands down the best free Geocaching app on the App Store. I have tried a number of other apps, but this one tops the list. Once you figure out all the ins and outs, you then only realize how much you can actually do with this app. Great free app, thanks!
I really like this app becaue it allow you to choose different maps that actually show trails and geographic features (Open Street and Bing Maps). The Geocaching app only allows the use of the iPhone iOS maps which don't show trails or other geographical references. This has been a much more helpful App to use. So far I really like it!
This app is useful to get Gps coordinates for caches. I find it useful to find caches when traveling and have a wifi connection on my iPad. I'll often take a screen shots of potential finds to refer to later and input the coordinates to my hand held GPS. would be far better if the GPS of the iPad could be used.
AMAIZING ive already found 4 geocaches! ( i didnt take em :) )
Had been a geo bucket user for a while but it crashed in the middle of 31 days of geocaching got this to limp by but it looks nice so far. This app would get 5 stars if the map was a live map in stead of having to load a list first.
If you have an iPhone this is the best FREE app for geocaching. It has a slider tab that lets you link right to the actual geocaching web site. It takes a little working with and setting up but linking to the actual web site is by far better than anything else.
This apps UI takes a while to get used to (stable and usable for me), but after a short time you find that it gives AMAZING functionality! Love the Navigon navigation. Downloading PQs is easy and you get ALL the info you do in the official app. Maps and navigation are also good. Play with it a bit, to get used to it. Not sure what more you get with the pro app but the free version is astounding
Unstable and unstable.
This has some great features, such as the ability to navigate to a cache or related waypoint via another app (it supports at least TomTom and Navigon, maybe others). This is an awesome feature that the official Geocaching app doesn't provide. Also you can filter searches based on difficulty, terrain, etc. However the UI is confusing, partly due to poor translation to English (and in some cases, not translated at all). For example in the filtering options, most options are inclusive (so find caches that ARE of a certain difficulty range), but others are exclusive. For example the Founds option (which is already some confusing wording), that filters OUT ones you've found, which makes sense, but then it seems to me the wording should be "Not found". Also there are some fairly unclear icon buttons. Etc. Still, once you figure it out this app has some really great features and I'm definitely considering buying the Pro version.
Vey nice and useful.
Acyducy Review wouldn't take my name. I like what I'm seeing so far. Going to buy the full version to try out the off line maps. Been looking for a way to seek caches with off line maps. Would like to be able to enter trackables. Should have a selectable list of "your" current held TB and a way to log picked up TB,s and when you drop them off. This is a major stumbling block for logging with this program. Needs to be a high priority fix/upgrade to make this app a killer app . While you can log your find you must use another app to log or dip trackables. Not a good thing. Keep working on it..
The app description shows a navigation bar, but I have yet to find how to turn this on. Zooming in or out to show both origin and destination seems to be missing. This is a promising app, but as if yet has nothing on the Groundspeak app other than price.
